About the Position

This postdoctoral position is available within the Center for Volatile Interactions (VOLT) at the Department of Biology, University of Copenhagen. The appointment is for 2 years, and the starting date is negotiable.

You will focus on fluxes of volatiles associated with marine bacterioplankton and phytoplankton, particularly their importance for VOC production/emission. The work will encompass field and experimental work, as well as cultivation applying molecular analyses of bacterial and phytoplankton community composition, plankton activity measurements, and measurements of VOCs.

The successful candidate will be responsible for lead-writing and co-authoring scientific publications. You will also have the opportunity to supervise MSc students.

We are looking for ambitious and highly motivated candidates with a strong background in marine microbial ecology or a related field. Fluency in written and spoken English is a requirement, as well as excellent writing skills demonstrated by the publication record.
