Job Description: We are seeking a highly motivated PhD researcher to investigate the complex interactions between fungi, plants, and insects in crop protection. The successful candidate will join our research group at the University of Copenhagen, Denmark, and contribute to a collaborative project focused on understanding the mechanisms of microbial resistance in plant-microbe-insect interactions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct experimental work with plants, fungi, and insects to understand their interactions and how they affect crop yields.
  • Develop and apply molecular techniques to analyze fungal colonization, plant defense responses, and insect behavior.
  • Collaborate with international research partners to design and implement experiments, and share knowledge and expertise.
  • Present research findings at conferences and workshops, and publish papers in high-impact journals.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in biology, ecology, entomology, microbiology, or a related field.
  • Strong background in molecular biology, biochemistry, or a related field.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with experience working in interdisciplinary teams.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
