The University of Copenhagen's Department of Veterinary and Animal Sciences invites applications for a postdoctoral research associate position in the Section for Parasitology and Aquatic Pathobiology. We are seeking an enthusiastic and dynamic scientist with expertise in immunology, parasitology, or a related field to contribute to our research on the consequences of type-2 immune function on parasite infection.

This is an excellent opportunity for a researcher to develop their skills in designing and executing experimental studies involving dietary manipulations, breeding, and experimental parasite infections of mice, as well as in vitro work with organoids and/or cell lines.

Responsibilities will also include co-supervising PhD and MSc students, supporting the overall research goals of the group, and contributing to a positive and supportive group environment that emphasizes teamwork, curiosity, and positivity.

The successful candidate will have a strong track record of peer-reviewed publications, preferably including first-author publications, and excellent English language skills both written and spoken.

Our research facilities offer state-of-the-art equipment and collaborative opportunities with other researchers in the department and across the university.

Requirements:
  • PhD in parasitology, immunology, or a related field
  • Significant experience in experimental animal models, including FELASA accreditation
  • Strong publication record, preferably with first-author publications
  • Excellent English language skills, both written and spoken
