Syrian Programme Finance and Support Director

The Folkekirkens Nødhjælp invites applications for a seasoned finance and support services expert to lead its Syria programme. The successful candidate will oversee all financial, logistical, administrative, and human resource activities in Ar Raqqa, ensuring an efficient and integrated support service.
This is a challenging opportunity for an experienced professional with strong leadership, team building, and communication skills. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of INGO work experience in a similar managerial role, with experience working in remote and insecure contexts.
Key Responsibilities- Contribute to the Country Programme strategies and policies through advisory services to the Country Director.
- Provide technical advice on project financing, risk assessment, and use of financing structures.
- Collaborate with colleagues to identify needs, determine costs, and plan support services, including procurement, logistics, finance, human resources, and administrative services.
The successful candidate will also be responsible for overseeing the programme's finances, including budget preparation, financial projections, and compliance with organisation rules and regulations.
Requirements- A minimum of 5 years of INGO work experience in a similar managerial role.
- Strong leadership, team building, and communication skills.
- Flexibility and cultural awareness and sensitivity.
- Computer literacy essential, including proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.
