Job Description

At Integrated Project Services, you will apply your knowledge, skills, and passion to make a difference in the lives of people by solving complex challenges related to pharmaceutical, biotech, and animal health research and manufacturing facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate with project managers to determine scope, complexity, and planning, and scheduling requirements of projects.
  • Assign personnel to provide engineering and technical support, determine the correct personnel needed with the most appropriate individual qualifications and prepare manpower & cost estimates.
  • Ensure the quality, accuracy, and completeness of overall work regarding (A) engineering design and CAD quality, (B) compliance with established IPS standards, procedures, codes, and ordinances, (C) adherence to design and project schedules and (D) provide adequate training, technical & administrative guidance and instruction to personnel within the department.
  • Develop Engineering's strategic business plan in concert with overall company planning efforts involving the technical and regulatory activities required to achieve long-range annual goals and objectives.
  • Manage various personnel functions, including but not limited to, hiring, performance appraisal, salary position recommendations, and employee development.
  • Evaluate and initiate the necessary training of the engineering discipline to ensure pertinent technical competence, acceptable social/communication skills and personal development of leadership.
  • Determine labour, resource and financial needs of the department.
  • Develop discipline policies, technical standards, and procedures as needed.
  • Establish productivity measurements and a reporting system to track progress and ensure compliance.
  • Participate in business development by seeking out new projects that may exist with current or new clients.
  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert within the discipline and complete project work as needed.
Requirements
  • Registered professional engineer with extensive experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
  • Progressive ability, capacity and aptitude in administration to plan, organise, supervise, coordinate technical work and obtain cooperation from others.
  • Demonstrated ability managing staff professionals.
  • Analytical thinking, structured problem-solving skills, superior communications skills, team building, and strong work ethic.
  • Previous experience of working in an engineering design office or EPCM contractor preferred.
