Software Tester and Quality Assurance Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Software Tester and Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team at Teradyne. As a key member of our Digital Experience team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive test cases and test scripts to validate software functionality, performance, and usability.
  • Collaborate with test managers, stakeholders, and developers to define acceptance criteria and ensure alignment on product requirements.
  • Conduct thorough functional, regression, integration, and system testing using manual and automated testing tools to identify defects and areas for improvement.
  • Investigate and diagnose reported defects, track them through resolution, and verify fixes to maintain high-quality standards.
  • Continuously monitor and evaluate software quality, providing valuable feedback for process improvements.
  • Develop and maintain documentation of test procedures, results, and relevant information for knowledge sharing.
  • Stay updated with industry best practices, emerging technologies, and quality assurance trends, actively sharing knowledge within the team.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in software test automation.
  • Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and experience with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines is a plus.
  • Experience using automated testing tools (e.g., Cypress) and frameworks.
  • Experience with defect tracking systems and version control systems.
  • Proficient in at least one programming language such as Java.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective collaboration within a cross-functional team.
  • Must be a self-starter, self-motivated, and capable of working independently as well as part of a team.
  • Quality certifications such as ISTQB Foundation is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment.
