HSE Technician Job Description

We are seeking an experienced HSE Technician to join our team at National Oilwell Varco Denmark I/S. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HSE, with a minimum of 2 years of experience in the field.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure Compliance: The HSE Technician will be responsible for ensuring adherence to company HSE policies and guidelines, facilitating communication between the shop floor and management regarding key risk areas.
  • Promote Safety: The successful candidate will advocate for incident prevention to protect employees, contractors, and visitors.
  • Coordinate HSE Processes: The HSE Technician will manage and maintain internal HSE processes, including Permit to Work, Safenotes, inspections, PPE support, chemicals, safety meetings, and contractor introductions.
  • Drive Continuous Improvement: The ideal candidate will recommend and implement enhancements to internal guidelines and work instructions to support continuous improvement.
  • Educate and Train: The HSE Technician will provide HSE risk education and training to employees in daily operations.
  • Report and Record: The successful candidate will report on HSE process performance and improvement needs; record incidents and accidents in SafetyFlex, assist with investigations, and ensure corrective and preventive actions are followed up.
  • Develop Training: The HSE Technician will assist in creating and presenting relevant HSE training programs.
  • Collaborate: The ideal candidate will work closely with other operational teams to foster continuous process improvement.

Language Requirements:

  • Fluency in Danish: Fluency in Danish is preferred for effective communication with the shop floor.
