Job Description

SLB Capturi is a leading carbon capture technology company that serves a range of carbon-emitting industries, including cement, blue hydrogen, bio/waste-to-energy, and gas-to-power. Our mission is to mitigate the environmental cost of industrial activity for a cleaner, more sustainable future.

We are seeking a highly skilled Construction HSE Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our HSE department, you will be responsible for providing effective HSE support at all times. This includes direct input to issues with an HSE impact or effect, active participation in all HSE programs and activities, and demonstrating an onsite presence as required and agreed upon with the Project HSE Manager.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement and enforce safety policies and procedures for construction projects.
  • Conduct regular inspections of construction sites to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Provide safety training and guidance to project teams, contractors, and subcontractors.
  • Collaborate with project managers and engineers to develop site-specific safety plans and ensure their implementation.
  • Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses, and develop corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Conduct safety audits and assessments to identify areas for improvement and maintain compliance.
  • Ensure the proper use and maintenance of personal protective equipment (PPE) by all personnel on the construction sites.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction safety, preferably in the renewables or environmental industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of relevant construction safety regulations and standards.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively train and influence teams.
  • Proven track record of implementing safety programs and managing HSE risks in construction projects.
  • Certifications in Construction Safety, such as OSHA 30-hour Construction Safety, will be an advantage.
  • Experience with incident investigation and root cause analysis.
  • Ability to travel to project sites as needed.
