Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral researcher to join our team at the Department of Biology, University of Copenhagen. The successful candidate will be working within the Center for Volatile Interactions (VOLT), where they will investigate fluxes of volatiles associated with marine bacterioplankton and phytoplankton.
About the Role
- Lead-writing and co-authoring scientific publications
- Supervise MSc students
- Cultivation of bacteria and phytoplankton
- Molecular community analyses (bioinformatics)
- Aquatic microbial ecology
Requirements
- PhD in marine microbial ecology or a related field
- Fluency in written and spoken English
- Excellent writing skills
- Analytical skills in molecular community analyses, aquatic microbial ecology, and cultivation of bacteria and phytoplankton
- Experience with VOC measurements using GC-MS or PTR-MS techniques and multivariate statistics
