Job Description:
The Molecular Foundry at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory is collaborating with the Novo Nordisk Quantum Computing Program to advance superconducting and semiconducting quantum computing platforms. This position involves improving qubits and related quantum processor performance, focusing on material quality/choice and novel fabrication and packaging development.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform device fabrication, characterization, and analysis.
  • Develop new fabrication and characterization methods, such as in-situ techniques and advanced chip designs.
  • Document and communicate results through publications and presentations.
  • Collaborate with researchers at the Molecular Foundry and the Novo Nordisk Quantum Computing Program.

Qualifications:
  • Ph.D. in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Applied Physics, Materials Science, or a related field.
  • Strong experience in fabricating and characterizing qubit platforms.
  • Interest in understanding material science aspects of qubit performance.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently and with students and postdocs.
