At Symphogen, we are committed to advancing superior monoclonal antibody therapeutics to improve the lives of patients. As an upstream process developer, you will play a critical role in developing and optimizing mammalian cell culture processes.

This position is part of the Cell Culture team, which is responsible for developing and manufacturing biopharmaceuticals. The successful candidate will work closely with our cross-functional team to develop and implement efficient upstream processes for the production of high-quality biologics.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mammalian cell culture, including experience with laboratory-scale bioreactors and downstream processing. A master's degree or equivalent in a relevant field is required, as well as excellent communication and teamwork skills.

  • Responsibilities:
  • Plan and execute experiments to optimize mammalian cell culture processes
  • Develop and implement efficient upstream processes for biopharmaceutical production
  • Collaborate with the development team to ensure seamless tech transfer to external CMOs
  • Document and report development work, including writing of technical reports
    • Qualifications:
    • Master's degree in a relevant field (e.g., pharmaceutical sciences, biotechnology)
    • Strong background in mammalian cell culture, including experience with laboratory-scale bioreactors
    • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a cross-functional team
