Vestas Data Platform - A Hub for Innovation


The role of a Product Area Architect is a pivotal position within the Vestas Data Platform, driving the technology roadmap for the Data Foundation product area. This established function serves as a thought leader in a rapidly growing data-centric environment.


Key Responsibilities



  • Ensure alignment of the product teams' architecture to foster seamless collaboration and innovation.
  • Prepare leadership alignment on the overall architecture roadmap to ensure strategic decision-making.
  • Cultivate coding standards within the product team and the data platform area to maintain consistency and quality.
  • Create standards, guidelines, and definitions to streamline processes and promote efficiency.
  • Promote technical decisions aligned with the data platform area to optimize performance and scalability.

Qualifications and Skills



  • A minimum of 5 years of experience working with data architecture, data engineering, or similar fields.
  • Familiarity with streaming technologies such as Apache Kafka.
  • Proficiency in various database technologies, including relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, Postgres) and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra).
  • Experience with report and visualization tool stacks, including technologies like Power BI, SAP Analytics Cloud.
  • Understanding of ML & AI technologies (e.g., Databricks, Snowflake, and/or Dataiku).
  • Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and technologies (e.g., SAP BW/HANA, Snowflake, Databricks, Microsoft Fabric) is a plus.

Location and Salary


The role will be based in Aarhus N, Denmark. The estimated salary range for this position is between €90,000 and €120,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
