Transform Product Operations at Xero

As a Product Operations Principal, you will play a critical role in driving the success of Planday's Product and Engineering teams. You will serve as a trusted business partner to our Product & Engineering Leaders, working closely with the CPO and CTO to drive transformation, uplift capabilities, and improve operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Orchestrate the execution of our Operating Model and Rhythm across Product & Engineering, ensuring seamless alignment with our Monthly Product Planning and Quarterly Roadmap prioritization cadences.
  • Support the development of key capabilities needed for the Operating Model to work efficiently, collaborating with P&E teams to improve how they estimate effort, customer impact, and success metrics.
  • Partner with the VP of Operations to ensure P&E prioritization outcomes are fed into the wider business' monthly, quarterly, and annual planning processes.
  • Be a valued Business Partner to P&E leaders, helping them build, manage, and improve cross-team collaboration.
  • Manage team performance metrics in Jira, ensuring data integrity and extracting key insights that enable leaders to make data-driven decisions about their teams.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve the quality of metrics and the insights produced, ensuring they are visible, accessible, and well-understood.
  • Be an expert in Product Management Frameworks, working with teams to maintain an efficient agile mindset and supporting processes.
  • Work alongside P&E leaders to ensure Planday adopts best-in-class frameworks and processes that enable us to deliver our Product Strategy as quickly and efficiently as possible.
  • Administer Jira and Confluence, recommending tools to help us be more efficient.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in a Product Operations, Product Management, Delivery Management, or Product Coach role in a SaaS business.
  • Experience driving a Product organization through transformation in how it leverages data.
  • Experience in Product-Led Growth Businesses is desirable.
