About the Role

At Vestas, we are committed to leading the transition to a world powered by sustainable energy. As a Product Designer, you will play a pivotal role in establishing and enhancing how we create our products, ensuring they are intuitive, user-friendly, and aligned with business objectives.

Your responsibilities will include navigating problem and solution spaces, conducting user research, prototyping and testing rapid prototyping methodologies, validating designs through usability testing and heuristic evaluation, and sharing your designs and findings with product owners and front-end developers.

You will be part of the Global UX team, a 'Center of Excellence' that houses our User-Centered Design capabilities. Your goal will be to partner across the organization, helping them utilize design processes and create meaningful products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Navigating problem and solution spaces from discovery to delivery, incorporating design and best practices into the product team's ways of working
  • Conducting user research, using qualitative and quantitative methods to create user insights and drive hypotheses and experiments
  • Prototyping and testing rapid prototyping and iterative testing methodologies to validate hypotheses, gather user feedback, and iterate on design experiments and design solutions
  • Validating designs, e.g., via usability testing and heuristic evaluation
  • Sharing designs and findings with product owners and front-end developers, working closely with them to see designs implemented
  • Contributing to cross-product strategy and leading complex or cross-product discovery

Requirements and Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience as a UX Designer, Product Designer, or similar
  • Accustomed to collaborating closely in a trio with the Product Manager and Lead Engineer to lead product decisions together
  • 'Full-stack design' experience, with ability and knowledge across the entire design process, from problem exploration to solution defining
  • A proven history of designing and building great digital products for enterprise, internal use, or B2B. Salesforce is advantageous
  • Experience working objective-based, e.g., with OKRs
  • Solid understanding of prototyping within Figma
  • Fluency in spoken and written English is a prerequisite

We are looking for a designer who has a genuine interest in sustainability and a passion for solving complex problems. You are capable of putting UX theory into practice and combining this with an effective understanding of business processes and user behavior to help us improve our digital tools within Vestas. Your ideas and solutions should be intuitive and motivating for our users while also supporting the business requirements of the largest turbine manufacturer in the world.
