The Responsible Level 3 at Terma A/S is a critical leadership position within the Quality Assurance department, specifically focused on Non-Destructive Inspection (NDI) processes. This role serves as the ultimate authority on NDI activities, ensuring that all operations adhere to the highest standards of quality, safety, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Quality Assurance Leadership: Provide strategic direction and oversight of all NDI operations, ensuring compliance with industry standards and customer requirements.
  • Certification and Training Management: Develop and manage a comprehensive certification and training process for NDI personnel, ensuring that all certifications align with industry standards.
  • Regulatory and Customer Compliance: Guarantee strict adherence to both regulatory and customer requirements, managing requirement changes and engaging with customers and suppliers for qualifications and technical consultations.
  • Innovation and Improvements: Stay ahead of technological advancements in NDI by leading efforts to implement new technologies and upgrade equipment, driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and safety.
  • Safety and Risk Management: Collaborate with the Health, Safety, & Environment (HS&E) department to ensure safety in NDI operations, conducting risk assessments and guiding the team in implementing safety measures and process improvements.

Qualifications

  • Extensive NDI Experience: Minimum 7 years of hands-on experience in Non-Destructive Inspection (NDI), particularly in roles involving high levels of responsibility and decision-making authority.
  • Specialization in Composites Manufacturing: Strong background in working with composite materials, including a thorough understanding of unique challenges associated with inspecting and ensuring the quality of composite structures.
  • Certification in NDI Techniques: Certification to NDI Level 2-3 in key techniques such as Ultrasonic Testing (UT), Radiographic Testing (RT), and Penetrant Testing (PT) from recognized professional bodies like NAS410 or an equivalent standard.
  • Comprehensive Knowledge of Composite Materials: In-depth understanding of composite materials, including their properties, fabrication processes, and common failure mechanisms.
  • Experience with NDI Procedure Development: Proven track record in developing and implementing NDI procedures that meet industry standards and customer requirements.

Leadership and Management

  • Proven Leadership Ability: Ability to lead and manage teams, inspiring and guiding NDI personnel to ensure alignment with company quality and safety standards.
  • Project Management Skills: Strong project management skills, with the ability to plan, execute, and oversee NDI projects from start to finish, managing timelines, resources, and budgets while ensuring all project objectives are met.
