As a Compliance and Sustainability Manager at Normann Copenhagen, you will play a critical role in shaping the company's sustainability strategy and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Job Overview

Normann Copenhagen designs, produces, and sells furniture and home accessories worldwide from our base on Niels Hemmingsens Gade in central Copenhagen. We are approximately 80 employees globally, with about 35 working from our headquarters in the city center, where you will be based.

Sustainability and Compliance Strategy

The Compliance and Sustainability Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive sustainability and compliance strategy that aligns with the company's values and goals. This includes developing and maintaining relationships with suppliers, ensuring compliance with international standards, and maintaining and updating the Supplier Code of Conduct.

The role also involves overseeing sustainability reporting, including Scope 1-3 emissions, for the annual sustainability report. Additionally, you will regularly review and update internal and external policies to ensure alignment with evolving compliance and sustainability standards.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Sustainability Reporting: Oversee sustainability reporting, including Scope 1-3 emissions, for the annual sustainability report.
  2. Policies and Procedures: Regularly review and update internal and external policies to ensure alignment with evolving compliance and sustainability standards.
  3. Supplier Management: Ensure supplier compliance with international standards, company policies, and sustainability objectives by maintaining and updating the Supplier Code of Conduct.
  4. Life Cycle Assessments: Conduct Life Cycle Assessments (LCAs) for the product range and integrate findings into sustainability strategies.
Qualifications and Experience

To be successful in this role, you will need a Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field such as compliance, environmental science, or engineering. You will also require strong knowledge of compliance, system management, and sustainability, with the ability to handle complex processes and technical solutions.

You should have experience interpreting legislation, reviewing product documentation, and ensuring compliance with Normann Copenhagen's standards. Proficiency in conducting Life Cycle Assessments (LCA) is also essential.

A passion for sustainability and an interest in sustainable practices in the furniture industry are highly desirable. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are also required.
