Salary and Benefits

The appointment will be based on the collective agreement with the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations. The salary will be approximately 35,000 - 45,000 DKK per month (around $5,200-$6,600 USD), commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Job Description

The aim of the PhD work is to fabricate a solid electrolyte for solid-state Li and Na metal batteries with an ionic conductivity exceeding the intrinsic value of the corresponding oxide electrolyte material. This will be achieved by high-temperature forging of oxide ceramics to induce arrays of dislocations. The project involves investigating the effect of dislocation density on ion conductivity and dendrite growth resistance using in-situ x-ray tomography and transmission electron microscopy.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • A two-year master's degree or similar degree with academic level equivalent to a two-year master's degree
  • Ideal master's degree in chemistry, physics, or materials science engineering
  • Strong experimental experience in electrochemical energy storage and excellent knowledge of solid-state chemistry
  • Experience in all-solid-state battery systems, field-assisted sintering technology, and impedance spectroscopy is beneficial
