Job Description

This position is ideal for a skilled Marine Surveyor who can support our team with engineering expertise.

We are seeking an experienced professional to contribute day-to-day specialist knowledge and assess complex problems, finding alternative solutions. The selected candidate will lead surveys on high-risk activities, develop cost structures for customers, and assess the design, production, and in-service aspects of engineering assets.

About the Role
  • Contribute specialist knowledge to solve complex engineering issues.
  • Lead surveys on high-risk activities.
  • Develop cost structures for customers.
  • Assess engineering assets for complex situations.

The successful candidate will also be responsible for continuing their professional development, maintaining discipline, knowledge, and awareness, and mentoring or coaching colleagues as appropriate.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • A degree or equivalent (BSc/MSc or BEng/MEng).
  • Experience as a Surveyor in other IACS Class Societies is desirable.
  • Sea-going Chief Engineer or 2nd Engineer experience is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of ship's engines and machinery items.
  • Ability to analyze and solve engineering issues using theoretical and practical methods.
  • Technical and commercial leadership skills.
