Maersk Group - A.P. Møller Mærsk is seeking an experienced Marine Auxiliary Machinery Category Lead to join our team.

As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for driving innovation projects with Ocean Asset Partnerships, collaborating closely with technical and operational teams, and building strong relationships with suppliers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute aggressive strategies to ensure cost leadership in auxiliary machinery categories.
  • Manage internal and external stakeholders to create partnerships that support our business objectives.
  • Drive cross-functional projects to deliver ambitious year-on-year cost reduction targets.
  • Evaluate offers, build negotiation strategies, and negotiate multi-million dollar contracts or projects.
  • Establish and apply cost modeling concepts, spend & demand analysis, and evaluations.
  • Address day-to-day operational queries within your area of responsibility.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in procurement or technical sales & marketing within the maritime, transport, or relevant industry.
  • Refined communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong commercial mindset with a focus on achieving cost-effective solutions.
  • Open-minded, curious, and eager to challenge yourself and the organization.
  • Ability to solve complex business problems in a structured and analytical manner.
  • Excellent English written and spoken skills.
