Discover the secrets of carbohydrate enzymology

We invite applications for a Postdoctoral Researcher position in the area of carbohydrate enzymology. The successful candidate will join our team to investigate the design and engineering of enzymes for the production of human milk oligosaccharides (HMOs).

The successful candidate will have a PhD degree in biotechnology, biochemistry, or a related field, with a strong background in protein expression, enzyme purification, and characterization. They will also have excellent communication skills and be able to work independently as well as part of a team.

About the role

This is a 2-year postdoctoral position that offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a cutting-edge research project. You will work closely with industry partners and collaborate with other researchers within the project group.

Key responsibilities

  • Design and execute experiments related to enzyme discovery and selection
  • Develop and optimize enzyme assays for HMO production
  • Collaborate with industry partners and other researchers within the project group
  • Train new group members and visitors in relevant laboratory technologies
