Operational Excellence Director

Key Responsibilities- Operational Leadership: Lead and manage the company's production and operational activities, ensuring efficient workflows and optimised production processes.
- Strategic Planning: Collaborate with the executive team to develop long-term strategies that drive business growth, improve production capacity, and enhance overall operational performance.
- Production Oversight: Oversee all aspects of the production process, from planning to execution, ensuring that production targets are met, and quality standards are maintained.
- Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and improve operational processes, focusing on automation, cost reduction, and increased efficiency in production and logistics.
- Compliance & Safety: Ensure that the company adheres to all relevant safety regulations, Danish employment laws, and EU compliance standards.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with the production, quality assurance, logistics, and HR departments to ensure seamless operations and alignment with the company's strategic objectives.
- A degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or related fields, with an MBA preferred.
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in operational leadership, ideally in a production or manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of production processes, supply chain management, and operational efficiency.
- Extensive experience in managing compliance, safety regulations, and Danish/EU employment law.
- Proven track record of driving process improvements and optimising production.
- Fluency in both Danish and English, with excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Strong financial acumen and experience managing operational budgets.
- The position is based in Copenhagen.
- A company car is provided, valued at up to DKK 400,000 (leased and replaced every three years).
- Official working hours are 37 hours per week, with six weeks of annual leave.
- The role offers a competitive annual salary of approximately DKK 1,400,000, including an 11% pension contribution funded by the company.
- The COO will have occasional travel within Europe, up to 10-15 travel days per year.
