Main Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will have overall responsibility to explore and develop new Color and Material opportunities and Strategies for Innovation across the portfolio, as well as to provoke innovative Material and Platform Innovation.

Key Areas of Focus:

  • Drive innovative CMF strategies, identify emerging trends in color, material and finish design to ensure our products remain at the forefront of design excellence.
  • Conduct research and insights, product design trends and new material technologies and translate them and develop new concepts, product ideas, and CMF strategies.
  • Collaborate with external vendors/suppliers, material scientists and engineers and explore and investigate in new Material technologies and developments.
  • Create visualization, graphics, material samples and hand-crafted prototypes that will demonstrate CMF design concepts.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Engineers, Material Development, Designers and Specialists to bring concepts to life.

Requirements

  • 10+ years CMF design experience, defining trends, color material and finishes for mass manufacture and crafting Design strategies.
  • Good knowledge of hard and soft materials (Plastics, Textile, Effects, Ink etc.).
  • Experience with creative and innovative development processes.
  • Strong visualization skills, 2D/3D and able to communicate a strategy and Design direction to peers.
  • Work collaboratively with partners across different departments and use agile ways of working.
  • Phenomenal visual, verbal, and written communication skills, ability to communicate innovative ideas with internal and external partners across all levels.
  • Outstanding portfolio that proves solid Design skills and forward thinking.
  • Trend Awareness and Deep understanding of current and future trends in design, materials, and technologies.
