IT Asset Management Specialist

Job SummaryThe IT Asset Management Analyst will be part of our Enterprise IT Service Management Organisation, reporting to the Practice Manager, Service Asset & Configuration Management. This role entails performing Enterprise Asset & Configuration Management tasks.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure accurate processing of vendor Advance Shipping Notice files.
- Process generic requests to build or update assets and/or the CMDB, as well as tickets assigned to the enterprise Asset & Configuration Management queue.
- Maintain up-to-date ServiceNow's Asset and Configuration models.
- Build and verify asset and configuration item records in ServiceNow as part of merger and acquisition projects, collaborating with Asset Management Specialists to ensure accuracy.
- Integrate new infrastructure devices into the CMDB, documenting all details.
- Support asset and configuration requests related to office closure, including transferring assets, updating status, and updating Cis.
- Analyze data to identify and resolve discrepancies in assets and configurations.
- Monitor asset connectors to ensure ServiceNow's Cis and asset data are updated correctly.
- Verify accurate asset-to-configuration item creation.
- Collaborate with asset management teams to find and fix missing data records.
Required:
- Standard ITIL qualification with a thorough understanding of the ITIL framework and ability to implement ITIL principles within an IT service management context.
- Strong familiarity with and understanding of ServiceNow.
- Commitment to promoting ongoing development and/or change.
- Excellent documentation, analytical, and verbal/written communication skills.
- Process- and detail-oriented, using a deliberate and systematic approach to achieve objectives.
- Ability to quickly build relationships with colleagues and the organisation, demonstrating strong communication and persuasion skills.
- Embracing change, being comfortable with uncertainty, and fostering a collaborative mindset.
Preferred:
- Information technology bachelor's degree or similar degree.
