Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly qualified and experienced researcher and educator to join our team as Assistant Professor of Culture and Society in the Spanish-speaking World. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching and research in the areas of Spanish and Latin American cultural studies, with a focus on contemporary issues and debates.
Responsibilities- Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Spanish and Latin American cultural studies, including courses on history, society, and culture in Spain and Latin America.
- Conduct research in the areas of Spanish and Latin American cultural studies, with a focus on contemporary issues and debates.
- Develop and maintain a strong research profile, including publishing in top-tier journals and presenting at international conferences.
- Collaborate with colleagues in the department and across the university to develop and implement new research initiatives and programs.
- Supervise graduate students and mentor junior faculty members.
- PhD in Spanish or Latin American cultural studies or a related field.
- Strong research and teaching record in Spanish and Latin American cultural studies.
- Experience with digital research and teaching methods.
- Native or near-native command of Spanish.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
