Analytical Chemistry Postdoctoral Researcher

Job Description
">Aarhus University is seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral researcher to join our team in the Department of Environmental Science. As part of our research group, you will contribute to studies on chemical pollution in the Arctic, focusing on persistent organic pollutants (POPs) and chemicals of emerging Arctic concern (CEACs).
">Your primary responsibilities will include:
">- Supporting ongoing projects related to POPs and CEACs in various matrices, using target analyses and suspect/non-target screening techniques.">
- Collaborating with other team members to develop new approaches for identifying CEACs, modeling their behavior, and exploring connections to plastic pollution.">
- Conducting advanced chemical analyses using several instrumental techniques, including GC-MS, GC-MS/MS, HPLC-MS/MS, and HRMS.">
- Participating in the development of QA/QC protocols and ensuring the accuracy and reliability of analytical results.">
- Contributing to the supervision of students or guest researchers and participating in outreach activities, such as disseminating research findings to relevant stakeholders.">
About the Job
">The successful candidate will have a Ph.D. degree in (analytical or environmental) chemistry or a closely related field. They should demonstrate experience with chemical analysis at trace levels, QA/QC procedures, and familiarity with Arctic pollution issues.
