Aarhus Universitet (AU) is committed to advancing our understanding of the complex relationships between human activities and the environment. We are seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Researcher in Environmental Chemistry to join our team.

The successful candidate will contribute to our research efforts, focusing on chemical pollution in the Arctic. Our work involves monitoring POPs and CEACs in various matrices using advanced analytical techniques. The postdoctoral researcher will also support the development of new methods and approaches, collaborating with our experienced researchers.

Our laboratory is well-equipped with state-of-the-art instruments, including mass spectrometry and chromatography systems. We maintain a high standard of quality assurance and control, ensuring accurate and reliable results.

As part of the ArcSolution project, you will work closely with Prof. Katrin Vorkamp and contribute to the project's goals. We encourage publication of results in scientific literature, conference presentations, and participation in outreach activities.

Responsibilities
  • Contribute to ongoing research projects on chemical pollution in the Arctic
  • Develop and implement new analytical methods and approaches
  • Collaborate with colleagues and external partners on research projects
  • Publish results in scientific literature and present at conferences
Requirements
  • Ph.D. degree in chemistry or a related field
  • Experience with chemical analysis of environmental contaminants at trace levels
  • Knowledge of QA/QC procedures
  • Familiarity with Arctic pollution issues
  • Able to work as part of a team
