As a postdoctoral researcher in our department, you will join a dynamic team of experts in environmental analytical chemistry, contributing to innovative solutions for managing and mitigating environmental risks. Your research will focus on persistent organic pollutants (POPs) and chemicals of emerging Arctic concern (CEACs), examining their impacts on the Arctic environment and human health.

Your key responsibilities will involve:

  • Supporting the development and implementation of new methods for analyzing POPs and CEACs in various matrices.">
  • Collaborating with colleagues to advance our understanding of CEACs, including their identification, quantification, and toxicity assessment.">
  • Participating in project meetings, workshops, and conferences to share knowledge and best practices.">
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with national and international partners to facilitate collaborative research and knowledge exchange.">
  • Contributing to the preparation of research proposals, publications, and presentations.">

About the Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will possess a Ph.D. degree in (analytical or environmental) chemistry or a closely related discipline. They should demonstrate expertise in chemical analysis, particularly in the context of environmental science, and be familiar with QA/QC procedures.
