About the Role

We are seeking a talented Software Engineering Professional to join our team at the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP). As an ICT Engineering Intern, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the development of innovative solutions that drive sustainable development and improve the lives of people around the world.

Job Description

The UNDP Unit of Information and Technology Management (ITM) in Copenhagen is responsible for supporting UNDP Country Offices worldwide with ICT and Green Energy solutions. Our team offers a stimulating and versatile internship in an international environment with contact to various partners from more than 170 countries with the UN and UNDP's presence.

As an intern, you will be given tasks and opportunities that have a direct global impact on the development efforts of the international community. You will work closely with our team to develop and implement cloud-based infrastructure, network monitoring systems, and unified communication systems. You will also assist in providing advisory support to UNDP Country Offices to implement stable and robust ICT infrastructure through satellite services, firewall services, and innovative ICT solutions.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to learn from experienced professionals and develop your skills in areas such as cloud computing, information security, ICT operation support, programming, client orientation, process innovation, project management, communication, collaboration, and cultural sensitivity.

Requirements
  • You must be enrolled in a postgraduate degree programme or recently graduated with a university degree in a field related to IT, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or similar.
  • You must have knowledge in one of the following fields: Internetworking, Network management, Microsoft collaboration tools, API programming, or similar areas.
  • You must have experience working with cloud computing, information security, ICT operation support, programming languages, and network architecture.
  • You must have excellent communication and teamwork skills and be able to work effectively in a multicultural environment.
