The Global Operations Associate role is critical in achieving this mission. As part of the Global Operations Team, you will play a key role in delighting customers, managing partners, and collaborating with technology partners to drive process automation.

We are strategically located across the world, with operational teams focused on developing a global network. Our goal is to manage and execute services and products offered to our customers and partners, using data to optimize customer supply chains and identify opportunities for improvement.

As a Global Operations Associate, you will be responsible for coordinating supply chain operations with ocean activities within your region. Your primary focus will be on driving a first-class customer experience by ensuring quality and on-time performance.

You will:

  • Ensure the highest standard of Flexport quality by ensuring shipments move on-time and exceptions are handled appropriately.
  • Be responsible for meeting internal KPIs and SLAs that demonstrate quality delivery.
  • Follow standard operating procedures (SOP).
  • Solve client issues quickly and ensure smooth operations at origin and destination, escalating issues as needed.

Your team will:

  • Coordinate day-to-day logistics operations with internal and external partners such as steamship lines, air carriers, intermodal and drayage vendors, customs, trade lane management, warehousing, and trucking.
  • Execute the end-to-end movement of freight shipments within a regional network (both imports and exports), including intermodal movements.

You should have:

  • ≥ 2 YOE in Operations / Freight Forwarding.
  • Able to adapt to new technology and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective time management, prioritizing tasks and managing a large volume of work.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to effectively seek and receive feedback.
  • Effective communication both verbally and in writing.
  • Teamwork and relationship building.
  • Orientation towards working smarter and adopting best practices and standardization.
  • Problem-solving capabilities.
  • A 'compliance first' attitude to maintain regulatory compliance in our heavily regulated industry.
