Quality Assurance Inspector for Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing Systems

About the Role: We are seeking a skilled QA MEP Inspector to join our dynamic and diverse team at the Køge Hospital Project. As a QA MEP Inspector, you will be responsible for ensuring that all MEP systems on the construction project meet the required standards and specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspection and Monitoring of MEP Systems:
    • Inspect MEP installations to ensure they are in compliance with project specifications, codes, and approved drawings.
    • Monitor workmanship to evaluate the quality of work performed by MEP contractors and subcontractors.
    • Assess materials and equipment to verify compliance with project specifications and quality control requirements.
  • Review of MEP Plans and Specifications:
    • Review design documents to ensure compliance during the construction process.
    • Identify deviations between the actual installation and the approved design and report these for rectification.
  • Testing and Quality Control:
    • Witness and supervise tests of MEP systems, including HVAC performance tests, electrical continuity and insulation resistance testing, pressure testing for plumbing systems, and fire safety systems tests.
    • Evaluate test results to ensure they meet the project's acceptance criteria, codes, and standards.
    • Ensure that all testing instruments and tools are calibrated and functioning properly.
  • Documentation and Reporting:
    • Prepare inspection reports to maintain detailed records of inspections, non-conformances, test results, and corrective actions.
    • Generate quality reports to provide daily or weekly summaries of inspection activities, results, and observations to project management.
    • Maintain a record of approvals from relevant authorities for MEP systems.
  • Compliance with Codes and Standards:
    • Ensure that all MEP systems meet local, national, and international codes and standards.
    • Coordinate with regulatory bodies for site inspections and certifications for specific MEP systems.
  • Coordination with Construction Teams:
    • Collaborate with MEP contractors, consultants, and engineers to ensure quality standards are upheld in the installation of MEP systems.
    • Provide technical support to site engineers and workers on best practices and quality standards related to MEP installations.
    • Resolve quality-related issues with the construction team.

Requirements:

  • Relevant Bachelor's and/or Master's degree
  • 5+ years of experience
  • Professional proficiency in English, both verbally and written
  • High level of communication skills and excellent problem-solving abilities
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and MS Outlook
  • Ability to prioritize workload, organize time and tasks efficiently, and be proactive
  • High level of integrity, confidentiality, and accountability with a strong work ethic and positive team attitude

About the Organisation: The Køge Hospital Project represents a significant expansion and complete renovation of the current hospital in Køge. This project will integrate new specialty departments, various research departments, and a wide array of healthcare services under one roof. The modernized facility will serve the entire Region of Zealand and will be one of the three emergency hospitals in the region, significantly enhancing healthcare delivery.
