**About the Role**

We are seeking a highly skilled Postdoctoral Researcher to join our esteemed team at DTU, Denmark's leading technical university. This is an exceptional opportunity for a talented individual to contribute to cutting-edge research in obesity and health technology.

**Job Summary**

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a 2-year project focused on understanding the significance of glycemic index for the development of obesity and metabolic syndrome. You will work closely with experienced researchers at DTU and Harvard Medical School to design and execute animal experiments, manage laboratory analyses, and publish research findings.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Design and execute animal experiments using the unique Ossabaw pig model
  • Manage and coordinate laboratory analyses with group members at DTU and Harvard Medical School
  • Publish research findings in reputable scientific journals
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop experimental diets, reagents, and assays

**Requirements**

To be considered for this position, you must have a veterinary background, extensive experience working with pigs as experimental animals, and proven skills in blood sampling, minor surgery, and laboratory techniques. Additionally, you should have knowledge of nutrition, experience with procuring diets, and lab experience including cell preparation, qPCR, and ELISA.
