Cardiometabolic Health Research Leaders

We are seeking up to three exceptional researchers to lead research groups at the Novo Nordisk Foundation Center for Basic Metabolic Research (CBMR) at the University of Copenhagen.
The successful applicants will be responsible for heading an independent research group and conducting research aligned with the center's strategy. Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting research, including publication and academic dissemination, in collaboration with other research groups within CBMR and the Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences.
- Research-based teaching, including associated examination.
- Research leadership, including guidance and supervision of researchers.
- Obligation to share knowledge with society, including participation in public debate.
- Academic assessments.
To qualify for this position, you will be assessed according to the six overall criteria for recognizing merit at the University of Copenhagen: research, teaching, societal impact, organizational contribution, external funding, and leadership. Additionally, you must demonstrate:
- Research qualifications at a level that can be achieved by satisfactorily completing a period of employment as an assistant professor/postdoc.
- Teaching qualifications and pedagogical competencies.
- Research-based teaching.
This is a fixed-term position for five years, with the possibility of contract renewal. The salary and other terms of employment are set in accordance with the Agreement between the Ministry of Finance and AC (Danish Confederation of Professional Associations).
