Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Coastal Engineer to join our team at Ramboll Group A/S. As a key member of our Ports, Marine, and Coastal Department, you will be responsible for delivering technical coastal engineering excellence and leading multidisciplinary projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Take the lead in technical coastal engineering excellence, ensuring high-quality design solutions and innovative approaches.
  • Deliver professional expertise to projects and clients, managing numerical modelling tasks and met-ocean analysis.
  • Design tasks using state-of-the-art coastal engineering methods to address problems related to marine structures and climate change.
  • Hydraulic design of water intake and outfall structures, preparing technical documents and engaging with team members.
  • Drive the development and innovation of our hydraulic modelling excellence, taking responsibility for technical project delivery as discipline lead/design manager.
  • Maintain the highest level of quality in our deliverables, promoting our capabilities in the market and co-creating with clients and stakeholders.
  • Act as a role model for younger team members, fostering a culture of innovation and technical excellence.

About You

  • A degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (or similar) with +10 years of proven experience in the design of marine structures.
  • Knowledge of port equipment, mooring systems, and navigation, as well as extensive knowledge of relevant design codes and design methodology.
  • Large experience with complex multidisciplinary marine projects, such as ports, flood defenses, artificial islands, or immersed tunnels.
  • Great communication skills, with English at a professional level and Danish highly appreciated.
