About the RoleWe are seeking a highly experienced Marine Engineering Expert Lead to join our team at Ramboll Group A/S. As a key member of our Ports, Marine and Coastal Department, you will be responsible for leading technical coastal engineering excellence and delivering professional expertise to projects and clients.
You will manage numerical modelling tasks for waves, water levels, currents, sediment transport, etc. using state-of-the-art software such as MIKE. Additionally, you will oversee met-ocean analysis of waves, currents, and water levels to establish design conditions for both coastal and offshore projects.
In this role, you will also design tasks using state-of-the-art coastal engineering methods to address problems related to marine structures and climate change. Your expertise will include hydraulic design of water intake and outfall structures, preparation of technical documents (reports, drawings, specifications), and engagement with other team members in a multi-disciplinary team.
We are committed to innovation and development, and you will drive the development and innovation of our hydraulic modelling excellence. You will also take responsibility for technical project delivery as discipline lead/design manager and maintain the highest level of quality in our deliverables.
About You- A degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (or similar) is required, with +10 years proven experience in the design of marine structures.
- Knowledge about port equipment, mooring systems, and navigation is essential.
- Extensive knowledge of relevant design codes and design methodology is necessary.
- Large experience with complex multidisciplinary marine projects is required.
- Great communication skills - English at a professional level; Danish is highly appreciated, and any other language skills are a plus.
