Aibel AS is seeking a highly skilled Telecom Discipline Lead to join our team in Stavanger. As a Telecom Discipline Lead, you will be responsible for producing and revising vital telecom documentation and drawings, including block diagrams, loop diagrams, and plot plans.

Your knowledge of PA systems, emergency battery systems, and CCTV systems will be invaluable in this role. Along with your knowledge of ICT security, network topology, and the instrument and electrical equipment used in the oil industry, you will be a key player in our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Produce work packages for installation
  • Discipline check and approval of produced documents and drawings in the project
  • Order all telecom materials needed for offshore installation
  • Knowledge of general interfaces to instrumentation/electro/automation
  • Understanding of drawings from different disciplines
  • Discussions with client and vendor representatives to find optimal technical solutions

Requirements:

  • Master's or bachelor's degree in telecommunications
  • Lower education in combination with long relevant experience will be considered
  • Advantageous with experience within offshore related projects and studies
  • Knowledge of relevant standards such as NPD, ATEX, IEC61892 and Norsok
  • Knowledge of modifications on offshore installations when in operation
  • Knowledge of telecommunication systems such as cables, fibers, LAN, WAN, TMS, etc.
  • Proficient in both Norwegian and English
