Head of Financial Risk Testing and Controls Management

We are seeking an experienced and skilled professional to join our team as the Head of Financial Risk Testing and Controls Management. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a newly established department and contribute to the development of our Controls Management unit.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and Implement Risk Management Frameworks: Design and implement effective risk management frameworks to ensure the robustness of our financial risk management processes.
- Lead Risk Testing and Assurance: Lead the risk testing and assurance activities to ensure the effectiveness of our controls and identify areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with Stakeholders: Collaborate with senior stakeholders, regulators, and peers to ensure effective risk management and control practices.
- Develop and Implement Training Programs: Develop and implement training programs to ensure that team members have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively.
- Drive Process Improvements: Identify areas for process improvement and drive initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of our risk management processes.
- Relevant University Degree or Educational Background: A relevant university degree or other educational background in a field such as risk management, finance, or accounting.
- Experience in Risk Management: A minimum of 10 years of experience in risk management, with a focus on financial risk management.
- Leadership Experience: Documented leadership experience, with a passion for leading with purpose and driving results.
- Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to face up to senior stakeholders and regulators.
- Business Acumen: Strong business acumen, with a deep understanding of financial products, processes, and risk management principles.
