Job Description

We are seeking a Strategic Sourcing Manager to join our team in Holstebro, Denmark. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for the strategic sourcing of global raw materials, including foam, wood, and metal for production.

Your main tasks will include:

  • Developing and implementing a comprehensive sourcing strategy to ensure optimal and balanced raw material sourcing across four upholstery productions in Poland and Lithuania.
  • Analysing and following the raw material markets and price development to create insight and a professional foundation for decision-making.
  • Data analysis and reporting to evaluate current sourcing practices and identify opportunities for optimisation.
  • Negotiating framework agreements with suppliers to secure the best possible terms and conditions.
  • Building and maintaining good relations with internal and external stakeholders, including buying departments at the upholstery productions.
About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join a newly established group function at Actona Group's HQ in Denmark. You will work closely with the SVP for Procurement and have direct responsibility for parts of the strategic sourcing of global raw materials.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to advance within the company and gain managerial responsibility over time.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of five years of documented experience from a similar position with a tried and tested toolbox within strategic sourcing.
  • Familiarity with the raw material markets and a basic understanding of production.
  • A relevant cand.merc. degree, for example within sourcing and supply chain management or similar.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills, as well as the ability to build excellent relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
