About the Project

DTU Wind invites applications for a position as a PhD student in Design of automatic maintenance recommendation system for wind turbine components. This project is part of the IntelliWind initiative, which focuses on designing and assessing autonomous operations for wind power plants.

Job Description

The successful candidate will design a monitoring system that can automatically estimate component response through processing of sensor signals. They will also develop a prognostics module that estimates the likelihood of failure of a connection based on the currently estimated state of loading. Furthermore, they will design automatic work orders that recommend a list of structural details to be maintained throughout a wind turbine portfolio.
