The Department of Electrical and Photonics Engineering at DTU is seeking a highly motivated PhD student to contribute to the development of efficient quantum light sources operating in the telecom C-band.

As part of the QPIC1550 project, you will be working closely with an interdisciplinary team to design and characterize novel quantum light sources for remote quantum computing demonstrators in SiN at 1550 nm.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing a theoretical framework for mapping quantum circuits to a QD-based multi-node remote quantum processing architecture
  • Experimentally characterizing quantum emitters in InP-based material systems at telecom C-band wavelength
  • Collaborating with the team to design and characterize hybrid SiN-based integrated photonic devices for distributed quantum computing applications

Requirements: A two-year master's degree (120 ECTS points) or a similar degree with an academic level equivalent to a two-year master's degree. Strong background in condensed matter physics and quantum information science.
