About the Role

e-conomic Danmark is seeking a highly experienced and visionary Senior UX Designer to join our team in Copenhagen. As a key member of our UX & Design department, you will play a crucial role in shaping the user experience of our cloud-based accounting product that helps thousands of SMBs across Denmark.

Job Description

In this role, you will work closely with our product trio (UX, PM, and Tech Lead) and other stakeholders to improve existing components and patterns, develop new ones, and solve complex problems for our users. You will be part of a supportive centralized UX team of 14 that strives to evangelize UX and always pushes for a design thinking approach.

You will own the design system documentation and guidelines, ensuring they are always up-to-date and accessible to all teams. Your focus will be on ensuring the scalability of the design system by building components that can be reused and adapted across different products and platforms.

Additionally, you will drive the adoption of the design system across the organization, providing guidance and support to other designers and developers. You will apply your UX toolbox filled with different research techniques to gain meaningful insights through qualitative and quantitative research.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and scale a robust design system within a growing organization
  • Work closely with developers, designers, and product managers to align expectations and ensure that the customers' voices are embedded in our decision-making
  • Own the design system documentation and guidelines, ensuring they are always up-to-date and accessible to all teams
  • Ensure the scalability of the design system by building components that can be reused and adapted across different products and platforms
  • Drive the adoption of the design system across the organization, providing guidance and support to other designers and developers
  • Apply your UX toolbox filled with different research techniques to gain meaningful insights through qualitative and quantitative research

About You

We are looking for someone who is passionate about building out design systems and creating solutions that are accessible, intuitive, and enjoyable to use. You have a deep understanding of atomic design principles and know how to break down complex UI elements into reusable components.

You are meticulous about maintaining design consistency and can effectively communicate the importance of this across different teams. You are a curious soul who finds it interesting to know why people are using a product. You seek to get under the skin of our customers' complexity and turn this complexity into a solution that meets the users' needs.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of professional experience and a proven track record of your previous work
  • Experience in maintaining and scaling a design system within a growing organization
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
  • Proficient in UX design tools such as Figma and Adobe Creative Suite
  • Practical experience with different ideation and research methodologies
