The World Health Organization (WHO) is seeking a highly skilled Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist to support regional efforts in monitoring, evaluation, and accountability of EIA2030 and donor-funded projects at the WHO European Office in Copenhagen.

Job Summary:

This role will contribute to the development of frameworks, guidelines, and tools required to monitor and evaluate progress towards goals and targets of the EIA2030. The successful candidate will also provide technical assistance to Member States towards improving national capacity in monitoring and evaluation, and immunization information systems.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in public health, epidemiology, and monitoring and evaluation, with experience in supporting monitoring and evaluation of health programs. Excellent communication and negotiation skills are essential, as well as the ability to analyze data and write concise reports.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop frameworks, guidelines, and tools for monitoring and evaluating progress towards EIA2030 goals and targets
  • Provide technical assistance to Member States to improve national capacity in monitoring and evaluation and immunization information systems
  • Analyze and visualize available data to prepare reports and briefs as required
  • Maintain regular contacts with country focal points to ensure complete and timely reporting of required data
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in health or mathematical science
  • Postgraduate training in public health or epidemiology or a related area relevant to the position
  • At least 7 years of public health experience in epidemiology and monitoring of communicable diseases

The remuneration for this position comprises an annual base salary starting at USD 77,326, a variable post adjustment, and other benefits including 30 days of annual leave.
