Cardiovascular Disease Researcher Position

The University of Copenhagen is seeking a highly motivated and talented Postdoc fellow to commence in the Rasmussen Group at the Novo Nordisk Foundation Center for Basic Metabolic Research (CBMR), University of Copenhagen.
As a Cardiovascular Disease Researcher, you will join a team aiming to improve precision health through training deep learning models on biobank scale molecular and health data. Your tasks will include developing patient-level multi-modal foundation models for studying cardiometabolic disease using large international biobanks, such as UKB, All of Us, and Project 10K.
You will work with state-of-the-art deep learning-based frameworks, including EIR and MOVE, to develop methodologies such as neural networks, variational autoencoders, transformers, and more. Additionally, you will be responsible for interpreting results and disseminating findings through presentations and manuscript preparation.
To be successful in this role, you should have a PhD in Biology, Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Computer Science, Data Science, or another relevant research field. You should also have excellent scientific track records, profound knowledge of machine learning and/or deep learning, and experience analyzing bulk or single-cell omics datasets.
Around 260 employees create an international, highly collaborative research environment across disciplines. Our Research focuses on development and application of computational algorithms for analysis and integration of multi-omics and multi-modal data within cardiometabolic disease.
