Postdoctoral Researcher in Social Network Emergence and Methodology

We are seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral researcher to join our team at the Copenhagen Center for Social Data Science (SODAS) at the University of Copenhagen. The successful candidate will work on a project focused on understanding the emergence of social network structures, with a particular emphasis on computational approaches.
Project Overview
The project, titled 'New computational approaches for understanding the emergence of social network structures', is funded by the Novo Nordisk Foundation and aims to develop novel methods for analyzing and modeling social networks. The project will be led by Dr. Josefine Bohr Brask and will involve collaboration with researchers from the Technical University of Denmark and the University of Exeter.
Responsibilities
The postdoctoral researcher will be responsible for conducting research on social network emergence and methodology, including modeling and analysis of social network data from various species. The researcher will also be involved in presenting findings at scientific conferences, writing research articles, and potentially teaching or supervising students.
Requirements
We are looking for a motivated candidate with a strong background in social network analysis, computational methods, and programming experience (e.g., R or Python). Knowledge of social behavior and network modeling is an advantage. The candidate should be interested in working with researchers from different fields and with data from non-human animals. Proficiency in English is necessary for the position.
