Postdoctoral Researcher in Science Communication

We are seeking a highly motivated and talented Postdoctoral Researcher to join our team at the Novo Nordisk Foundation Center for Basic Metabolic Research (CBMR) and Medical Museion. The successful candidate will work on a project investigating the role of communication in interdisciplinary collaboration and the development of training programs for early career researchers.
About the ProjectThe project, 'Becoming an interdisciplinary scientist: Communicating values and valuing difference', aims to explore the internal 'research culture' of contemporary biomedicine and the impact of communicating disciplinary values and goals on interdisciplinary collaboration. The Postdoctoral Researcher will lead a cross-disciplinary literature review and an interview study of mid-career scientists' perspectives on the project theme, informing the development of an ECR training course and workshops.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct a novel cross-disciplinary literature review on the role of communication in interdisciplinary collaboration.
- Lead an interview study of mid-career scientists' perspectives on the project theme.
- Develop an ECR training course and workshops based on the findings of the literature review and interview study.
- PhD in a relevant humanities or social science discipline.
- Excellent track record in relation to career stage.
- Confidence designing own research methodologies.
- Enthusiasm for collaborating across disciplines.
- Some experience with running communication activities or teaching is an advantage.
- Excellent English communication skills, both written and oral.
The Postdoctoral Researcher fellowships within the CBMR International PhD & Postdoc Program are open for applicants that hold a PhD degree awarded from a university outside of Denmark.
Terms of EmploymentThe employment as Postdoctoral Researcher is a full-time position for 3 years. Starting date is February 1, 2025, or after agreement.
