HSSE Supervisor

As an HSSE Supervisor at Maersk, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our employees and customers. Your primary responsibility will be to plan, implement, and oversee the company's employee safety at work, ensuring compliance with Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) guidelines.

• Monitor and record accidents/incidents at the workplace
• Prepare and maintain all safety-related documents and records
• Develop and implement Hazard Analysis Risk Assessment Risk Control (HIRARC) plans
• Prepare and process memorandum of agreements and other contracts related to EHS
• Monitor and maintain company and third-party regulatory permits, licenses, and related documents
• Prepare and submit pertinent documents to regulatory agencies for reporting, monitoring, and compliance
• Prepare safety-related reports and presentations

• Monitor safety performance of the company
• Conduct risk assessments at the workplace and develop Hazard Analysis Risk Reduction Risk Control (HIRARC) plans
• Implement Behavioral Based Environment, Safety & Health (BESH) programs
• Conduct regular safety walkthroughs to monitor and anticipate unsafe acts and conditions
• Investigate incidents/accidents to determine root causes, identify controls, and implement controls
• Ensure compliance of operations with safety rules and regulations
• Ensure compliance of the facility with Fire Safety Standards
• Facilitate and coordinate emergency procedures, such as fire drills and emergency evacuations
• Coordinate with facility teams for repairs and maintenance of facilities and equipment
• Ensure all critical jobs comply with National Competency Standards (NCII) from TESDA
• Issue work permits
• Cascade safety programs to all employees
• Conduct safety orientations for employees, principals, visitors, and other stakeholders
• Conduct/facilitate safety-related trainings
• Attend/participate in safety meetings within and outside the company
• Monitor and maintain government regulatory compliance
• Handle regulatory visits/inspections
• Prepare and submit pertinent documents to regulatory agencies for reporting, monitoring, and compliance
• Participate in all EHS-related audits
• Ensure implementation of EHS SOPs
• Perform other tasks as assigned by management

• Train, develop, and motivate staff to maintain seamless operations
• Identify applicable environmental legal requirements
• Monitor performance of operations employees through leadership and effective implementation of management initiatives
• Support account operations and meet their requirements
• Perform other tasks as assigned by management

We are looking for candidates with PCO training and experience, BOSH/COSH training, and LCM training from DOLE-accredited agencies. Substantial work experience in safety is required, and DOLE or OSH practitioner certification is a plus. Good communication, problem-solving, and people-handling skills are essential.
