About the Role

Vestas is seeking a highly skilled Global Procurement Lead Specialist Software to join our team. As a key member of our Global Procurement organization, you will be responsible for leading the partnership with strategic software suppliers, developing and implementing global software strategy, and ensuring the maximum value and savings out of supplier cooperations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop the partnership with strategic software suppliers, such as Microsoft.
  • Develop and implement global software strategy in close collaboration with the software procurement team and internal stakeholders.
  • Develop and install world-class supplier collaboration with internal stakeholders and create an effective category structure across all relevant areas.
  • Be a key member of the Global IT Procurement team, representing the procurement team and acting as an ambassador towards internal and external stakeholders.
  • Lead global software negotiations and set direction and plan execution across the category.

Qualifications

  • Several years of procurement experience, including being part of culturally diverse and global teams.
  • Significant experience negotiating software contracts and understanding the complexities of such contracts with respect to commercial and legal risks.
  • Experience with category management, including guiding cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and large complex suppliers.
  • Good theoretical background within procurement, finance, or supply chain.
  • Good negotiator who lives for delivering expected savings and solutions.
