Maritime Instructor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced maritime instructor to join our team at Maersk Training. As an instructor, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality training to our students, focusing on maritime safety, sea rescue, and small boat navigation.

• Deliver theoretical and practical training in maritime STCW, OPITO, and GWO courses with a focus on high quality and customer satisfaction.
• Prepare boats, equipment, and other course-specific activities depending on the course type.
• Be responsible for daily safety during the respective courses, for both participants and instructors.
• Maintain, develop, and improve teaching materials and methods according to legal and organizational requirements.
• Set high personal and professional standards.
• Show due diligence regarding courses, participants, and colleagues.
• Ensure a better learning experience.

• Maritime education as either a ship's captain, chief engineer, or dual ship officer.
• Knowledge and experience in navigating MOB boats, lifeboats, and FRBs.
• An engaged person who sets high personal and professional standards.
• Strong focus on customer satisfaction.
• Curious and not afraid of challenges and learning about new areas/sectors.
• Good IT skills and technical knowledge.
• Team player.
• Comfortable standing in front of others and leading the training.
• Experience in teaching, but this is not a requirement.
• Prepared for potential travel days.
• Fluent in both Danish and English, both spoken and written.
• Fluent in German, but this is not a requirement.
