Detailed job description for the position of Global Protection Manager at Folkekirkens Nødhjælp, covering essential duties and responsibilities.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the implementation of humanitarian programmes in various locations. Key tasks include:

  • Defining project scope, objectives, timelines, and milestones in collaboration with stakeholders
  • Ensuring programme adaptability to the operational context and adapting tools and project implementation approaches
  • Planning activity implementation and overseeing project performance as defined in the project proposal

Additionally, the candidate will ensure administrative follow-up and monitoring of project activities, coordinate with local authorities and humanitarian actors, and establish contacts and operational links with relevant stakeholders.

The ideal candidate should possess a university degree or advanced university degree in a relevant field, such as political science, human rights, humanitarian project management, or international development.

A minimum of 3-5 years of practical experience in the protection field, preferably working for an INGO, is required. The candidate should have experience in protection monitoring, case management, community-based protection, and/or GBV, as well as proven working experience in conflict and displacement affected areas.

Familiarity with people management and project management, excellent writing and editing skills, and experience producing high-quality technical material are also essential.
