The Protection Programme Director role at Folkekirkens Nødhjælp demands a seasoned professional to oversee the implementation of humanitarian programmes in various locations.

Key duties include:

  • Steering the administrative, logistical, and financial management of the project, ensuring good collaboration with support departments
  • Representing DCA in dealings with local authorities, partner organisations, and all local project implementation stakeholders

The ideal candidate should possess a university degree or advanced university degree in a relevant field, such as political science, human rights, humanitarian project management, or international development.

A minimum of 3-5 years of practical experience in the protection field, preferably working for an INGO, is required. The candidate should have experience in protection monitoring, case management, community-based protection, and/or GBV, as well as proven working experience in conflict and displacement affected areas.

Familiarity with people management and project management, excellent writing and editing skills, and experience producing high-quality technical material are also essential.
