Digital Transformation Leader for Enhanced Efficiency

About the Role:

We are seeking a visionary Head of Digital Development to spearhead our organisation's digital transformation, driving efficiency and innovation.

This is a pivotal position where you will oversee, manage, and enhance our digital ecosystem, ensuring seamless integration of cutting-edge technologies and streamlined processes. As a critical resource in the Marketing department, you will lead the way in setting best practices and policies, creating an advanced and agile digital environment that supports organisational goals.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Digital Systems Management: Oversee all digital systems, tools, and platforms to ensure optimal functionality, reliability, and alignment with organisational needs.
  • Infrastructure Assessment and Recommendations: Conduct thorough assessments of existing digital infrastructure, recommending changes, replacements, or additions as needed.
  • Hosting Platform and Server Management: Collaborate with the IT department at the Shared Service Centre to ensure optimal performance, security, and hosting platform management.

Job Portal and Automation Oversight:

  • Smooth Functioning and Optimisation: Ensure the smooth functioning and optimisation of job portals and web scraping setup connected to them, identifying automation opportunities across digital workflows.

Digital Campaign Optimisation:

  • Campaign Tracking and Reporting: Support Brand Managers with campaign tracking, reporting, and analysis, developing and maintaining reporting dashboards for real-time analytics and actionable insights.

Development and Hands-On Support:

  • Primary Point of Contact: Act as the primary point of contact for digital development requests across the organisation.
  • Project Management: Project manage external digital agencies and freelancers.
  • Hands-on Support: Provide hands-on support for both backend and frontend development tasks as needed.

AI Integration and Innovation:

  • Evaluation and Implementation: Evaluate and implement AI tools and technologies to streamline operations and enhance organisational capabilities.
  • Automation Opportunities: Identify opportunities for AI-driven automation, analytics, and optimisation in key areas such as job portals, digital campaigns, and reporting.

Strategic Development:

  • Guidance and Leadership: Guide the organisation and its management in matters of digital innovation, implementing AI and automation tools.
  • Benchmarking and Best Practices: Benchmark against industry standards and introduce best practices to inspire similar organisations.
  • Skill Enhancement: Support efforts to develop and commercialise our business.

Key Qualifications and Skills:

  • Digital Systems Management Experience: Proven experience in digital systems management and development (backend and frontend).
  • Tech Stack Knowledge: Strong knowledge of hosting platforms, servers, website content management systems, marketing automation platforms, CRM systems, and other marketing tools.
  • Analytics and Dashboard Tools: Proficiency in analytics, tracking, and dashboard tools.
  • Digital Campaign Optimisation Experience: Experience in digital campaign optimisation and collaboration with marketing teams.
  • Technical Expertise: Experience with web scraping, Python, PostgreSQL (or another SQL database), Linux, Django (or another Python web-framework like Flask), Playwright framework.
  • Leadership and Communication: Self-motivated and proactive in identifying improvements and keeping systems working optimally, excellent problem-solving, time management and project management skills, leadership qualities with the ability to mentor and supervise interns.
